The story so far...

Ben was born into a family with 2 previous generations of motorsport professionals. After competing at national level in the sport of downhill mountain biking through his teenage years, Ben decided it was time to follow in his fathers footsteps by getting behind a steering wheel. In 2004, Ben started racing karts at a relatively late age but his potential for success was soon evident.

In his first season of kart racing Ben became champion at the Blackbushe circuit in the competitive Senior Rotax Max category, despite having to start the first half of the season's races from the back of the grid due to his 'novice' status!

Since then, Ben has quickly progressed through the ranks of British Karting and now competes in the British Superkart Championship, driving his 120mph RG Racing prepared kart at some of the country's finest race circuits including Silverstone, Snetterton, Oulton Park and Donington.

In 2011 Ben was crowned the 125cc National Superkart Champion achieving 6 wins, 11 podiums and 2 lap records in the process. In 2012, Ben took his title defence to the wire and finished a very close runner up in the championship, achieving 3 wins and 10 podiums in the process. Ben however did win the BSRC club championship in both 2011 and 2012.

Integral to Ben's success is his father, Rob, who carefully prepares their RG Racing Superkart throughout the season with engine support coming from Phil Featherstone of PFP services.

Ben is well regarded in the motorsport industry, working as a professional race circuit designer for Apex Circuit Design Ltd. He has worked on a variety of global projects including the design of CIK approved world championship kart circuits, such as the VIVA Bahrain circuit.

In 2013 Ben is proud to be driving for RG Racing with support from Bayliss Ware, specialist accountants and tx advisers to the global sports industry.
