2012 Season Fast Approaching
RG Racing have been busy preparing to defend their National Superkart title in 2012
RG Racing have had almost 9 months to enjoy the success of winning the National Superkart Championship in 2011 but with the 2012 season almost upon us, the team have been busy preparing to defend their championship. Ben Willshire & Gary James' superkarts have both been re-built over the winter and both drivers have completed successful test sessions at Silverstone, Darley Moor and Forest Edge circuit in readiness for the championship opener at Croft on April 28th 2012. James’ won’t be competing at the first national championship round, as he will be focusing on club racing events at Darley Moor, but Willshire will be keen to secure a solid start to his championship defence on what will be his first race carrying the number 1 plate. Last season, Willshire took victory in 50% of the championship races on his way to becoming National champion but with over 20 fierce competitors lining up in their 125cc Superkarts to contest the 2012 championship, he knows it won't be easy to do the same again! "I am looking forward to getting back in the seat after a long break from last season and hope to make start the year with 2 consistent race finishes. I have never raced at Croft before but feel very well prepared to attack the circuit from the outset in Qualifying next Saturday morning!"
